In a quiet and dreamy environment full of chestnut trees, the warm Cretan sun in summer but also during the magical winter, Arhontika Villas are the ideal place for anyone who needs to experience the Cretan dream!

Elos village hosts our Crete Villas, it is one of the most beautiful traditional villages of Kissamos area. It is placed around a forest of chestnut trees which is full of natural water sources. In the village centre there are a few cafes where you can enjoy a cool drink under the tall trees as well as taverns, mini markets, bakery, general practitioner, grill house etc.

Our two Villas are quiet and personal. The standard of the place, the breathtaking location but most importantly the incomparable sights around the area, is what makes this place a truly magical experience. All our guests will also have the opportunity during their stay to visit the prefecture of Chania and magical places such as beaches Elafonissos, Palaiochora, Falassarna, Balos, Gramvousa and the cosmopolitan city of Chania, with its beautiful Venetian port.

The location of the villas is just amazing. The settlement Arhontika is a hub point where our guests can easily and quickly access all famous beaches of Chania, either Elafonisi (Elafonisos), or Falassarna - Gramvousa - Balos and also south to Paleochora. (Watch the area through google maps)

Traditional villas Arhontika are located in the village of Elos (Municipality of Innachoriou) 50 km southwest of the city of Chania, right on the path to famous beach Elafonisi.Arhontika Villas are built in a green area, adjacent to the old mansion that was built in 1816.

Village Elos is considered the Chestnut village of Chania where the chestnuts are well known for their taste. In Elos village operate throughout the year a few traditional taverns with Cretan cuisine and local specialties.Elos is 24 km from Kastelli Kissamos and 57 km from Chania. The prefecture of Chania has preserved its charm as a well known holiday destination, providing a nice climate, beautiful beaches, accommodation services and other benefits, always with a strong touch of traditional Crete.

The stone arches used to transport water for the operation of 2 water-mills in the region, one of which has now developed into housing and the other in a tavern.There are also paths for hiking in the nature or terms of Ag Law, at an altitude of 1170 meters which is a protected area for a rare eagle of the so-called "Kokkala" who named because it feeds only on carrion bones, or to the Kastanodasos Kouri-Karas.

How to reach Crete and Chania:
Crete has two of the most important ports of the East Mediterranean Sea, the port of Heraklion and the port of Chania (Souda). The island is connected with mainland Greece, with a large number of passenger ships (ferry-boats). Right now ANEK Lines operates daily departures from Piraeus (Athens) to Chania, Rethimno, Heraklion and v/v and Minoan Lines and Superfast Ferries operates daily departure from Piraeus (Athens) to Heraklion and v/v.

There are also two international airports operating in the island, in Heraklion and in Chania. The island is connected with most of the airports in Greece, many European countries and Cyprus, with regular or charter flights. Companies that operate regularly on these airports are Olympic Air, Aegean Airlines and many other foreign companies connecting with charters Chania or Heraklion with many European Countries.

Elos in mid-October each year is made of chestnut festival with various events and participation of many visitors.The feast of St. Law on 6 May in the chapel of Law - Job at an altitude of 1170 m.
